What we accuse homeopathy of is not primarily administering placebos, but its faithful adherence to scientifically untenable ideas. The fact that homeopathy has been able to survive in our country at all is due to the multiplication factor of the patient, who obviously honours the method’s reputation of “treating the person and not the disease”. We explain on these pages why homoeopathy cannot be justified with such a statement. The body heals itself to a great extent. The main thing is that it is treated somehow and one feels well cared for. The homeopathic healing artists may be successful in this respect, but their medicines are ineffective sham medicines.<\/p>\n

But the art of healing is part of all good medicine. We are committed to ensuring that patients receive both: a well-meaning, understanding doctor who sees more in them than a number or a billable case (and who is also rewarded for this) – and good, evidence-based medicine. In case of doubt, a trusting wait-and-see approach can also be better than an unnecessary medicine – we can also learn that from homeopathy. However, we don’t need it for that.<\/p>\n
